Macbeth Currie are a well established local company based in Dunfermline with many years of experience in the management of property. We believe we are the longest established property letting service in Dunfermline currently successfully dealing with a large portfolio of residential lets.

Our staff are familiar with current legislation and can advise on all aspects of factoring your home whether it be furnished or unfurnished.

We cover a wide area and currently factor properties in the West Fife, Kinross and Edinburgh areas with local offices in these locations.

Our clients, like their properties, are all individual. We tailor our service to match their needs whether it be our full factoring service or lease only.

The initial consultation, which is free, takes around an hour of your time when we will explain in detail our factoring service.  This briefly comprises of the following:

Mortgage details i.e. bank or building society. 

Lease is drawn up and appropriate notices served in compliance with current legislation.

Tenants are carefully chosen either from our database or from local advertising.  Bank/employers references are taken, where appropriate.  A deposit is held during the period of tenancy of one month's rent which is returned to the tenant on termination of the lease along with the interest accrued, assuming everything is in order, fair wear and tear accepted.

A detailed Inventory is prepared at the start of a tenancy and checked at the termination of the lease.

Inspections are carried out on a regular basis during periods of tenancy. Any Maintenance required can be attended to by local trusted tradesmen, or, tradesmen of your choice. Routine repairs are attended to as and when they arise on your behalf.

Monthly Statements will be sent to you together with receipts for any repairs carried out.  Monthly Rental Income will be forwarded to a bank or building society of your choice.

Utilities meters are read at the start and end of a lease and the appropriate boards are notified.  Local Council Tax Officer informed of any occupancy changes.
